Water-soluble canvas

Cross-stitch embroidery is done on counted fabric, like aida. But sometimes you want to embroider a nice pattern on regular fabric, like a T-shirt or denim jacket. This water-soluble aida is the solution! Secure it to the fabric with a few (temporary) stitches and follow your pattern as you normally would. Use a needle with a sharp point. When you're finished embroidering, hold the embroidery under running water or in a bowl of lukewarm water; it will dissolve within a few minutes. This water-soluble aida is a handy alternative to waste canvas.
