Organize your embroidery thread collection in this transparent plastic storage box from DMC. The thread storage box measures 26 x 18 cm and has 17 compartments. The top left compartment is twice as long. This is perfect for storing small embroidery scissors, needles, or other supplies that don't fit in the other compartments.

Includes wrapping cards and list of all color numbers

The thread storage box comes with 50 cardboard wrapping cards to wrap your embroidery thread around. The box also includes a chart with a list of all DMC color numbers. So you'll never have to search for that one color number! Embroidery thread is not included.

Storing yarn

On the Iris Borduurt Instagram, you can see how I've stored my own thread collection in these boxes. I like being able to see all the colors I have at a glance. So when I buy new embroidery thread, I immediately wrap it around a card. I cut open the label with the DMC color number so I can tape it to the card. This also makes it easy to distinguish between, for example, older thread you got from your grandmother: old DMC embroidery thread has a black label instead of a white one. I store my embroidery thread according to DMC color families. Embroidery tip: You can also find cardboard wrapping cards as a separate item in the shop to supplement the box.
