Embroidery with a ball needle

A ball-tip needle can be used when cross-stitching to more easily find the hole in the fabric. The ball-tip needle is also known as a magic needle , ball-tip needle, or weaving needle.

This handy needle has a small ball instead of a blunt point like a traditional cross-stitch needle. This prevents you from poking just outside the hole between the weaving threads in the embroidery fabric. The ball makes it easier to find the hole in the fabric. The ball needle is therefore also very suitable if you have difficulty seeing small holes in the fabric or if your hands are shaky.

It makes embroidering on both aida and evenweave fabrics just that little bit easier. That's why I highly recommend ordering this needle with your embroidery kit if you're a beginner. You won't regret it! Once you have this needle in your stash , you'll be reaching for it again and again.

What size do I need?

• Thin: Ø 0.65 x 37 mm x cm for 16 count aida
• Normal: Ø 0.7 x 40 mm is suitable for 14 count aida
