Aida is a special embroidery fabric used for cross-stitching. You use a needle with a round point because the fabric already has holes. There are different types of Aida embroidery fabric, with larger or smaller squares. This fabric has 6.3 squares per centimeter (16 count), which is slightly finer than a 14-count fabric.
