Bring the magic of the holidays to life with the 12 Days of Christmas embroidery kit from Bothy Threads. This classic design, created by Catherine Rowe, is inspired by a well-known old English carol about the twelve days of Christmas. This refers to the twelve days that follow Christmas: from December 26th (the feast of St. Stephen) to January 6th (Epiphany). The carol tells the story of an ever-growing list of gifts received by one who is "true love." In the first verse, for example, the gift is a partridge in a pear tree. This is also reflected in the first section of this embroidery.

Size: 25 x 36 cm.

Skill level: It's helpful if you've done some cross-stitch embroidery before. This embroidery kit uses various stitches: cross stitch, couching, backstitch, and French knots. You'll also incorporate small beads into the embroidery at the end. A fun challenge! This gives you the opportunity to improve your embroidery skills while working on this festive project. For some extra help with your project, you can watch these helpful instructional videos.

Embroidery hoop: Hold the fabric taut in an embroidery hoop or frame while embroidering, this will ensure your stitches lie more evenly on the fabric. An embroidery hoop is not included in the kit; you can order one separately. For example, the Elbesee embroidery hoop ø 20 cm. You can move the hoop over the fabric while embroidering, so the entire design doesn't need to fit in it to be able to create the piece.
